What I love the most about making portraits is the brief connection and acknowledgment of existence between strangers, then with a flash it's over. Photography has many aspects one of the most important being the process in obtaining your content and gathering a network of interesting subjects.

Shadow Walk











Here is selection from a photo essay that I would like to turn into a book. I started working on the idea in 2011.  It is primarily about movement and how the human figure relates and is juxtaposed within the environment. Johannesburg is an apocalyptic backdrop of gritty concrete and broken things where vehicles are metaphors for beasts emitting toxic waste that transport humans to and fro. Poles and signage are props for human survival.

 I did a small photo essay on mortality.  What I found out was how woman outlive men and how the Caucasian community battles to cope with their elders.
